OUR HISTORY

The Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning Gombe State came into being in October 2019 with the current workforce of Sixty-Four (64) Staff, Thirty three (33) which are professional cadres (Budget and Planning), Thirty One (31) Intermediate and Junior Staff. The Office has five (5) directorates, with four substantive Directors heading the Budget, Planning, Technical Assistance and Administration & Finance directorates, While an Assistant Director is overseeing the directorate of Monitoring and Evaluation.

We exist to engender impactful planning allocation of resources and partnerships for sustainable development & socio-economic growth of Gombe State by leading the delivery of development policies, plans & budgets

VISION

To be the first-rate planning agency leading the attainment of sustainable development in Gombe State.

The Ministry is saddled with the following responsibilities:

  • – Sourcing and coordination of the activities of all Development Partners that expressed their interest in Gombe State and also serve as entry point for prospective foreign Investors
  • – Preparation of the State long term development plan.
  • – Preparation of a robust Monitoring and Evaluation Framework for the State that will be used to supervise all State projects/programs.
  • -Preparation of annual and supplementary budget for the State and monitoring its implementation and performance
  • -Conduct 1 – 4 above with the requisite administrative skills, qualified Staff, offices and needed work tools.
